On Tuesday 10 March 2026, the European Seaweed Association and Campus@Sea will host a collaborative event at the Offshore Test Site in Scheveningen, bringing together innovators, researchers, companies and policymakers working on offshore technologies.
The afternoon programme will tell you more on the growing role of offshore testing infrastructure in accelerating innovation at sea. Participants will gain insights into developments in offshore renewable energy, marine innovation ecosystems and the opportunities offered by the Offshore Test Site.
The event will open with a welcome and introduction by Anoek van Vlaardingen from Campus@Sea.
Annemarie Smabers will present the vision behind Campus@Sea as an open innovation fieldlab, explaining how its ecosystem and facilities enable organisations to test, validate and collaborate on offshore technologies.
Representing the European Seaweed Association, Roëll Schroor will highlight the possibilities available at the Offshore Test Site and introduce the new Offshore Test Site website.
Next up, Peter Scheijgrond will outline how Campus@Sea is developing an international network of offshore test centres recognised under IECRE. This initiative forms part of the OFFSHORE PROOF project and aims to deliver certification-ready testing services for offshore technologies.
